Important days and dates

 My favorite celebración is Oktoberfest.

Oktoberfest is the most popular festival in Germany and one of the most important in te world, being imitated in destinations as diverse as Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Venezuela. This festival has been celebrated in Munich since 1810.

This year the festival begins on September 16 and ends on October 3.

Oktoberfest is a festival that transports us to Bavaras, its culture, its lederhosen and dirndl, polka music and  of course, its delicious and foamy beer.

Local often wear traditional costumes called Tracht´n: woman wear colorful dressed (Dirndl); and men leather pants (Lederhosen) and hats.

All beer served at Oktoberfest comes from famous Munich breweries such as Paulaner and Augustiner. There is fantastic local food at Oktoberfest and you should try all the delicacies you can. You can start with the tradicionalWiesn-Hendl (roasted chicken) and some Brezn (a giant pretzel). Admission to Oktoberfest and the tents is free, except for the Oide Wies'n, the historic part of the Oktoberfest that takes you back in time with traditional beer, food and attractions.

It is important not to get drunk. this can be tricky, since there is beer everywhere, but it is always good to know your limits, for your own safety and the safety of others.

Who am I?

Hello everyone! My name is Jazmín Poblete, I was born in Curicó and I moved to Santiago when I started university, or at least that was the plan, my first year of university coincided with the pandemic, so I postponed my trip for two years. I study pedagogy in mathematics and physics, it was never in my plans to study in another region, until I realized that I needed to start over. My family is made up of my father and his five puppies, he lives in the country. On the other hand, there are my two sisters, who are twins, my mother and three puppies, they live in the city. My sisters and I are very close, we love to sleep together, watch series and eat. The three of us have a flower name! I love dogs, eating French fries and getting to know new places. I haven't eaten meat for about 5 years, animals are very important to me, I would like to be vegan, but I love milk and butter very much! When I finish university, I would like to return to my hometown and work in different places in t...

Write About A Photograph That Is Meaningful To You

I chose this photograph that my mother took to me one day when I came to my home with a headache. It was one day after school, I felt so bad that I went to bed. It seems that at that moment our little dog Melody came into the room and lay down next to me. My mother says that she came uo to see how I felt and that she saw us so comfortable, that she took that photo of us. This photo is special to me because I feel that it represents fidelity and unconditional love. Characteristics very difficult to find and even more difficult for a photo to capture them. Melody always went everywhere with my mother, but at that moment, when I felt bad, Melody was with me. She was very attentive to our emotions, she knew when we needed containment or company. Melody passed away 4 years ago, October 25 will mark 5 years of death. Unfortunately she left my side two days before my birthday, I still can't believe how the years go by and her departure still hurts me. She was extraordinary, I know we all...

Where I come for?

Currently I live in Santiago. I have lived here since 2022. I decided to come here to study away from my family, to be an independent person. To live in Santiago has been a big challenge, because I didn´t know anyone in that city. However, I don´t regret coming to live here, because I have learned to manage the money and solve my problems alone. When I am finished studying, I would like to come back to live in Curico and to be able to practice my profession close to the people I love. I often miss my family, my pets and the tranquility of my city, but I am afraid of missing my freedom and the new people I have met in this big city.
